A terraced two-storey over ground level house at 37 Haddington Road in Dublin 4 has been sold at auction through Christies for £700,000. The agents had been guiding £500,000 prior to auction for the three-bedroom house, which has rear access on to a laneway.

Sherry FitzGerald also seriously underestimated the price of a two-bedroom mews house at Harcourt Terrace in Dublin 2, which it sold under the hammer yesterday for £380,000. It had been quoting £280,000 for the house, called Sarah Purser Mews. A three-bedroom townhouse at 20 Sussex Road, Dublin 4, was withdrawn at a Lisney auction and is for sale at £310,000.

Elsewhere in Dublin 4, a site with lapsed planning permission for two apartments at Waterloo Road, Ballsbridge was sold at a Lisney auction for £400,000

Also in Ballsbridge, a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 6 Merlyn Drive was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £665,000.

In Sandymount, a five-bedroom semi-detached Edwardian residence at 37 Sydney Parade Avenue was sold at auction for £1 million through Bennetts.

Also in Sandymount, 9 Wilfield Park, a four-bedroom semi-detached house, was withdrawn at £400,000 and sold later for a higher price through Douglas Newman Good.

A four-bedroom semi-detached house at 17 Gilford Drive, Sandymount, was withdrawn at auction and agents Lisney are now quoting £465,000.

In Donnybrook, a five-bedroom house currently run as a guest-house, Bective House at Eglinton Terrace, was withdrawn by Maguire-Fay, which is now seeking offers in the region of £600,000.

South Dublin

In Sandycove, a five-bedroom period terraced house, Lowood, Castlepark Road, was sold at auction for £524,000 through Terry Halpenny.

A four-bedroom semi-detached house, Rochelle, at Corrig Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, was withdrawn at auction and sold after auction for over £400,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

A four-bedroom dormer bungalow at 16 Ardagh Park, Blackrock, was withdrawn at auction and Gunne Residential is now seeking offers in the region of £420,000.

In Baldonnel, Co Dublin, a four-bedroom detached house on around one acre, Castlebaggot Lodge, was sold after auction for over £350,000 through O'Dwyer English Auctioneers.

North Dublin

In Glasnevin, a three-bedroom end of terrace house, 35 Cliftonville Road, was withdrawn at auction and sold later for a price in excess of £370,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

In Clontarf, a three-bedroom mid-terrace house, Avondale at 23 Seapark Drive, sold at auction for £265,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Howth, a three-bedroom bungalow on 1.6 acres, The Trees at Carrickbrack Road, was withdrawn at a Sherry FitzGerald auction.

A four-bedroom semi-detached bungalow, Barramor, at Dublin Road, Malahide, was withdrawn at £300,000 by Hamilton Osborne King, which is now seeking an offer of £360,000.

Dublin 6, 8 and 16

In Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, Palmyra, a five-bedroom Georgian house on two acres at Whitechurch Road, was withdrawn from auction by Lisney, which is now seeking £1.8 million.

In Templeogue, 3 Springfield Drive, a four-bedroom semi-detached house, was withdrawn at auction and agents Lisney are now quoting £315,000.

In Dublin 8, a three-bedroom mid-terrace house at 9 Warrenmount Place was withdrawn by Lisney, which is now seeking £300,000.

Also in Dublin 8, a two-bedroom open-plan cottage at 42 Lombard Street was sold at auction for £241,000 through Young Auctioneers.

Number 32 St Kevin's Road, Portobello, Dublin 8, a two-bedroom end of terrace house, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is now seeking offers in the region of £345,000.

Wicklow

In Delgany, a three-bedroom semi-detached cottage, Twilight Cottage at Templecarrig, was withdrawn at £280,000 by Gunne Residential, which sold it later for a higher price.

In Roundwood, a four-bedroom bungalow on 0.75 acres, Furze Lodge at Ballinastoe, fetched £260,000 through joint agents Jackson-Stops and Clarke Auctioneers.

In Greystones, a three-bedroom bungalow on one acre, Longmeadow at Kilquade, was withdrawn at auction by JacksonStops, which is now quoting in excess of £600,000.

Jackson-Stops withdrew two further properties in Greystones. Woodbine Cottage, Windgates, a three-bedroom cottage, is now for sale at £230,000, having failed to sell under the hammer, while Lenphil at Portland Road, a three-bedroom bungalow, was withdrawn and is now on the market at £500,000.

Again at Greystones, Sherry FitzGerald withdrew Trafalgar Cottage, a four-bedroom two-storey house and is now seeking offers over £350,000.

Provincial

In Co Meath, a four-bedroom detached residence on half an acre at Curragha, Ashbourne, was sold at auction for £313,000 through Dillon Auctioneers.

Again in Co Meath, nine acres of non-residential farmland at Portown, Ballivor was sold at auction for £40,000 through Raymond Potterton.

The same agent has withdrawn a 24-acre farm with a 31,169 gallon quota at Shancarnan, Moynalty, Kells.

A four-bedroom bungalow on 0.75 acres at 54 Crodaun Forest Park, Celbridge, Co Kildare, was withdrawn at £230,000 and agents Douglas Newman Good are now quoting £255,000.

In Co Laois, a four-bedroom detached residence at Dublin Road, Portlaoise, was withdrawn at £250,000 and is under negotiation through Colm Brazil Auctioneers.

Still in Co Kildare, 2.5 acres of agricultural land at Richardstown, Clane, was sold at auction for £160,000 through Gerard Brady & Co.

The same agent sold 17 acres of agricultural land at auction in five lots at Clondra, Co Longford, for a total of £281,000.

In Co Offaly, a house and 38 acres of land at Clonygowan were sold in five lots by Matt Dunne for a total of £280,000.

Commercial

A site of 6.2 acres with rural village zoning at Kinsealy, Co Dublin, was sold at auction yesterday by Gunne for £2.9 million - the equivalent of £467,741 per acre. The land is only 200 yards from a site of 9.7 acres currently being offered for sale by the former Taoiseach, Mr Charles Haughey. The land has similar zoning.

In Co Kildare, a 3.5 acre development site zoned for residential use at Parson Street, Maynooth, was sold at auction for £3.05 million through Ganly Walters.

The former Olympic Ballroom, Pleasants Street, Dublin 8 was sold at auction for £2.5 million through J H North.

In Co Kildare, Clelands, a substantial retail commercial premises at Edward Street, Newbridge, was sold at auction for £1.61 million through Jordan Estate Agents.

In Dundalk, Co Louth, The Lisdoo Licensed Premises at Newry Road was sold prior to auction for over the guide price of £2 million through Gunne Commercial.

In Dublin 3, a commercial site at 29a, 29b1, 29b and 29c Tolka Road, was withdrawn at auction through Gunne Commercial at £375,000.

The Harvester Bar at Ballivor, Co Meath, was withdrawn at £510,000 and sold later for £526,000 through joint agents T E Potterton & Sullivan Estate Agents.

In Co Meath, a terraced residential/commercial property at Emmet Street, Trim, was sold at auction for £105,000 through T E Potterton.

Still in Co Meath, 11 acres with industrial zoning at Trim Road, Athboy, was sold at auction for £520,000 through Raymond Potterton.

In Co Wexford, Coadys Shop, a two-storey building in need of complete refurbishment at Upper Mary Street, New Ross, was withdrawn by Kehoe & Associates which sold it later.

At Oldtown Village, Co Dublin, 14 acres of development land was withdrawn at £900,000 and is under negotiation through Ronald Duff & Associates.
