Green Property will have to revise its entire strategy for further retail developments at the Blanchardstown Centre following last week's decision by An Bord Pleanalβ refusing permission for a further six retail warehousing units with a total space of over 162,000 sq ft.
Significantly the board cited what it called "an over-concentration of retail warehousing" in Blanchardstown and the danger that it would create serious traffic congestion as the two main reasons for refusing permission.
The refusal came only a week before Stephen Vernon of Green Property unveiled plans for the additional retail warehousing.
