A TRADITIONAL Irish longhouse, beautifully presented having been restored by its owners and surrounded by lush Tipperary fields, is for sale by private treaty for €335,000 through Nenagh agent Sherry FitzGerald Talbot.

Lissadonna, about 3kms outside the sleepy village of Cloughjordan, is a two-bedroom house with separate guest accommodation of 32.5sq m (350sq ft) comprising two bedrooms, sunroom and shower. There is around 186sq m (2,000sq ft) of space in total.

The house is on about half an acre which is divided into lawn, a sitting area with sandstone paving and a vegetable garden with potting shed and log store. The sittingroom, which interconnects with the diningroom, has a large Inglenook open fireplace, natural slate floors, Victorian-style radiators and a vaulted timber ceiling. A good-sized kitchen has hand-made painted fitted units, a Rayburn oil-fired range, work island, double sink, vaulted timber ceilings and skylights.

Timber ceilings are a feature of both bedrooms, one of which has built-in units, while the pretty bathroom has a free-standing cast-iron bath, recessed lighting and a door with stained glass window. Stone walls, inside and out, have been white-washed.
