ONE of Dublin's oldest pet shops, The Dublin Pet Stores, at 117 and 118 Capel Street, Dublin 1, is expected to make in the region of £350,000 to £400,000 when it is sold by tender on July 16th through McNally Handy.

Several other retail buildings in the street have been redeveloped for shops and apartments under the tax designated area scheme, which is still available.

The four-storey over basement buildings, formerly used as two units, have a total of 5,182 square feet, including more than 1,200 square feet at street level.

The business has been run by the same family since 1845. Mr Gerald Roden plans to relocate his business to another premises in the city centre.
