In Co Meath, Rathbrack House, Kells, a period house, was sold at auction for £425,000 (539,638) through Sherry FitzGerald-Armstrong. Overlooking the River Blackwater, the house stands on 31 acres and has good frontage on to the main Cavan Road.

In Co Kildare, a four-bedroom bungalow standing on two-thirds of an acre at Turnings, Straffan, was sold at auction yesterday for £227,000 (288,230) through Ganly Walters.

Also near Straffan, a half-acre holding at Ardclough was sold at auction for £190,000 (241,250) by Colm McEvoy.

Still in Co Kildare, a five-bedroom bungalow on 4.88 acres at Mylerstown, Robertstown, Naas, was withdrawn by Colm McEvoy.

In Dublin sales a five-bedroom house at 14 Spencer Villas, Glenageary, was sold at auction for £730,000 (926,908) through Lisney. In Rathmichael, Lisney is seeking £2 million (2.54m)for a period farmhouse on five acres, Ellerslie on Ballybride Road, following its withdrawal from auction at (1.9m).

The same agent is seeking £330,000 (419,013) for 2 Mayville Terrace, Leslie Avenue, Dalkey, following its withdrawal from auction. In North Co Dublin, 17 acres at Knightstown, Lusk, was withdrawn at £170,000 (215,855) and is under negotiation through Ganly Walters.

In Dundalk, Co Louth, two properties were sold at auction through Gunne Property: a shop premises at 35 & 36 Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, made £710,000 (901,514); showrooms with overhead offices at 33 & 34 Park Street sold for £760,000 (965,000)

A 0.14-acre site at The Square, Claremorris, Co Mayo, was sold at auction for £220,000 (279,342) through Brendan Tuohy.

A residential public house, Christy's Bar in Kilmurray, Co Clare, made £405,000 (514,243) through Sherry FitzGerald-McMahon. In Co Wexford, The Thomas Moore Tavern at Cornmarket was withdrawn at £550,000 (698,355) by Gabriel Dooley which is seeking £800,000 (1.01m).

Property Partners-McDonnell & Co is quoting £600,000-plus (761,842-plus) for Jimmys public house, shop and residential premises in Rathwire, Mullingar, which was withdrawn at £560,000 (711,053).
