A MAJOR oil distribution company has paid in excess of £400,000 for a one-acre development site at Fonthill Road, Newlands Cross, Clondalkin, Co Dublin. The site has full planning permission for a forecourt petrol filling station with an associated retail outlet, and carwash and valeting facilities. Fonthill Road is the continuation of the Belgard Road to the west of Newlands Cross and forms the Clondalkin by-pass. Mason Owen Lyons handled the sale.

£45,000 premium sought for city centre restaurant The Gunne agency is seeking a premium of £45,000 for the leasehold interest in a ground floor restaurant trading as Girolles, at 64 South William Street, Dublin 2. It is located next door to the Brown Thomas multi-storey car park, which is to open this year. The fitted and equipped restaurant seats 40 people and is held on a 25-year lease at a rent of £12,000 per annum.
