The Retreat: from €42,650A London firm of architects (Buckley Gray Yeoman) has created a "hip" range of mobile homes - clearly influenced by log cabins - that is launching this weekend at the Ideal Homes Exhibition at the RDS.

Michael McShane, Dalkey-based agent for the Retreat, says its "uncompromising design" is a "radical departure from anything attempted before in the mobile home market".

Built from wood and assembled on-site, the Retreat range starts at €42,650 and goes up to €124,500.
