Merrion lands key Laganside contract for `cultural quarter'

Merrion Property Group, the Dublin developer responsible for some of the most successful apartment development in Dublin in the early 1990s, has been awarded the contract to develop a key site in Laganside's new Cathedral Quarter redevelopment area in Belfast. Merrion was responsible for the innovative Warehouse apartment complex set around a paved courtyard at Clanbrassil Terrace in the early 1990s.

These apartments are exceptionally large and well-appointed when compared to much of the stock of apartment development in Dublin since. The Four Corners site is central to Laganside's plans for the development of the Cathedral Quarter into a cultural area along the lines of Temple Bar.
