THE Stillorgan Park Hotel at Stillorgan Road, Co Dublin, has sought planning permission for a major extension which would include an additional 118 rooms to bring the total up to 168. The application also covers a new leisure centre including swimming-pool, conference centre, a new facade entrance and roofs, car-parking and the refurbishment of the hotel. Brennan and Pettit, which owns the hotel, also has Arklow Bay Hotel.

In the city centre, planning permission has been granted for a 129-bedroom hotel at 23 to 26 Bachelors Walk.
