Shopfront: Two friends, Laura George and Rebecca Rowe, closed their interiors shop - Reverie - in Sandycove awhile ago so it's nice to see that another two women, Rosie Johnson and Jackie Lohan, who are also friends, have just opened a shop in the old Reverie location and called it Johann.
It's hard to describe what they sell because there seems to be a bit of everything.
Accessories for the home include fleecy throws, small vegetable prints, fabric covered hatboxes, bathroom bins and cushions, Italian beauty products, leather picture frames and a few ceramics. It's all quite pretty stuff and is the kind of thing some will love and others will hate.
But Johann is a good place for locals to pick up small gifts. In particular, anyone baby buying should take a look at the very cute blankets with tiny teddies stitched on the corners.
Also in the shop is a big range of jewellery and some t-shirt tops and sweaters from Italian label Custo. For more imformation, phone Jackie Lohan 087-2921444.
