A DUBLIN housebuilder has paid £3.25 million for a residential site of 31.5 acres at Ashbourne, Co Meath. The price equates to £105,000 per acre, probably a record for development land in Co Meath. The builder is likely to secure planning permission for 189 houses on the basis of six houses per acre. The price works out at just over £17,000 per site. There are water and sewerage services on the land, which was sold by a local business family. The Ronald Duff estate agency sold the site by tender.
