The Cosgrave Group has let the final building in the Westend Retail Park at Blanchardstown. Heatons, the textiles-to-household retailer, is to rent a 30,000 sq ft building at around £12 (€15.24) per sq ft. The letting comes after the recent opening of German discount grocer Lidl in an adjoining unit. Other retailers in the park include Classic Furniture, European Living, Laura Ashley, Oddbins and Petstop Superstore. There is also a drive-through fast food outlet on the site.
Westend has had a considerable advantage over many other retail warehousing parks in that the zoning permits it to be used for all retail goods rather than the usual bulky items. Fintan Tierney of Lambert Smith Hampton handled negotiations with Heatons, which was represented by Lisney.
