It's not every day one gets - or wants - a chance to live in the house occupied by the late Dublin gangland boss The General - at least on celluloid. The house at 40a Herbert Park, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, is for rent through Gunne and was recently used as the drug baron's base in When the Sky Falls,

a film starring Joan Allen, based on the life of journalist Veronica Guerin, and scripted by Michael Sheridan. Herbert Park was closed off on occasion during filming - in case of sniper fire. The house, which has four bedrooms, is on offer for £2,500 a month.
