Bray: €1.8m:The last time 6 Florence Terrace in Bray, Co Wicklow, was on the market it was a very different proposition than it is now. It was one of four houses that had, several years previously, been knocked together to form a nursing home.

The current owners bought that nursing home and set about reinstating the houses as individual family homes. Earlier this year one of them was sold and now this one, number 6, is finished and ready for sale. It's a high-spec, ready to walk into four-bedroom family home on the market for €1.8 million through Sherry FitzGerald. At 282sq m (3035sq ft) it's ideal for a family trading up to this seaside location.

Great efforts have been made to reinstate the period feel so in the high-ceilinged airy hall the original hardwood floor has been restored, there is stained glass in the windows and the ornate coving and decorative architrave are features. There are two reception rooms - a large, very smartly decorated one which opens into the smaller of the two rooms which is currently kitted out as a snooker room. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms and a large family bathroom. The main bedroom has a smart en suite.

Househunters who viewed the house in the terrace that was for sale by the same owners earlier this year will note that the specifications for the bathrooms and kitchen in number 6 seem higher and there's a more contemporary feel to them.

Most families will spend most time down at basement level (which has independent access from the front of the house) where there is a very spacious, open plan kitchen and dining area which also incorporates a good seating area. All appliances are included and, as well as a good range of units in the stylish Snaidero kitchen, there's a large island unit which could double as a breakfast bar. There's also a utility room and a guest bathroom on this level.

This area opens out into the back garden which has been landscaped into three areas, the first being the sandstone patio. There is parking at the end of the garden. The front garden is 19m long.
