OUR item last week about the attractive salaries on offer at Nama suggested that a large number of people had been taken on by the State’s bad bank at handsome salaries.
Nama comes under the aegis of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) and the salaries mentioned – and the number of employees who fall into each salary band – apply across the entire NTMA organisation.
Employees of the NTMA are assigned to a variety of quangos which include The National Pensions Reserve Fund; The National Development Finance Agency; The State Claims Agency and the banking systems functions delegated to the NTMA by the Minister for Finance, as well as Nama.
