Christies, one of the market leaders in the Dublin residential letting market in Dublin, is to locate its new commercial division in newly-acquired premises beside its existing business at Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. Christies was established in London in 1938 and though it still has an office there, the company is now Irish owned. Since opening in Dublin, the commercial branch has handled the sale and purchase of 160 properties. It has over 40 businesses on its commercial listing.
Christies pays special attention to the nursing home industry and recently completed a number of substantial sales for clients. This sector requires a specialist knowledge of the marketplace here and in the UK, as well as legislation, health board regulations and taxation. The agency is quoting a guideline price of £400,000 for Lis Na Bin nursing home which can accommodate 19 patients in a Georgian home at Novara Avenue, Bray, Co Wicklow. It goes to auction on October 1st.
The company Christies has been appointed joint agents with Hamilton Osborne King for a £15 million business park in Balbriggan. It is also to handle the sale of two apartments development close to the Thames in London. Christies commercial division is run by Mr Paul O'Mahony and Mr David Fee.
