A NORTHERN Ireland charitable trust has bought the Fairhill Shopping Centre in Ballymena, Co Antrim, for £13.5 million, £2 million more than it made two years ago when it was acquired by UK and Canadian interests. Marks & Spencer and Coop Stores are the main tenants in the 150,000-square-foot centre, which opened in 1991. When a number of rent reviews are completed shortly, the rent roll is expected to increase to £1.1 million. This will produce a yield of around 8 per cent for the new owners, which were represented by Lambert Smith Hampton's Belfast office.
