Forestside in south Belfast has confirmed its place as one of the most successful shopping centres developed on either side of the Border with the letting of its last available unit at a Zone "A" rent of £173 per sq ft. The 1,449 sq ft unit has been let to Game (Stores) Limited at a rental of £135,000. The unit came up for letting after it had been held on a temporary lease by J.
Sainsbury as a Christmas shop. Colin Mathewson, of letting agents Hamilton Osborne King, said Game had been chosen as it compliments the existing tenant line-up in Forestside. The centre was developed by Sainsbury and sold last year to the Universities Superannuation Scheme for just over £50 million. Tenants include Marks & Spencer, Dunnes, Next, Boots, HMV, and Dixons, with Sainsbury as anchor.
