Anyone who had any doubts that there might be a slowdown in the new homes market will have to think again after the rapid sell-out of Sean McKeon's latest scheme in Swords. Agents Hooke & MacDonald took only two hours last Thursday to sell all 50 of the two-bedroom and three-bed houses at Ridgewood Square, between the Forrest Little golf course and the airport. Prices were between £134,950 and £165,000 and all were bought by first-time buyers according to Ken MacDonald. Swords is now seen as a better location than many parts of west Dublin because of the relatively good transport system and its proximity to Dublin airport. The town's new shopping and leisure centre is due to come on stream towards the end of the year.
