£900,000 sought for Temple Bar development land

Douglas Newman Good is quoting in the region of £900,000 for an infill development site of 4,760 sq ft between Fitzers and Luigi Malone's restaurants at Fownes Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, which is to be sold by tender.

The tax-designated site, owned by a businessman, Derek O'Leary, would be ideal for a three to four-storey commercial and residential development. The agents say there is potential for 4,500 sq ft of retail space and up to eight apartments. The same agency has secured £50,000 for the leasehold interest in a sandwich bar of 123 sq ft fronting on to Temple Bar Square. It is rented at £10,000.
