20-acre industrial site sells for £5.5m in West Belfast

The Industrial Development Board has paid a reported £5

The Industrial Development Board has paid a reported £5.5 million sterling for a 20-acre industrial development site formerly owned by Mackie International in West Belfast. Robert Watson of selling agents Osborne King described the sale as "a good result for the Mackie creditors and for the people of West Belfast generally".

Industrial sites in Belfast have been disappearing in recent years to the point where a shortage now exists. The site is close to the £70 million sterling Springvale University Campus investment on adjacent lands and the recently developed Springvale Business Park.
