HAMILTON Osborne King is seeking a rent of around £100,000 for a retail and restaurant space in a new building under construction at Cecelia Street in Dublin's Temple Bar area. The ground floor area will have 5,510 square feet and there will be eight overhead apartments. The restaurant space would obviously be of interest to McDonalds but Temple Bar Properties has already indicated that it does not want the fast-food chain in the area.
During excavation work on the Cecelia Street site, archaeologists uncovered the remains of a 13th century friary. Part of the ancient wall will be incorporated into the new development.
