£1.7m for guesthouse beside Skylon hotel

Sean Mason of Mason Estates is quoting a guideline price of £1

Sean Mason of Mason Estates is quoting a guideline price of £1.7 million for The Antrim Arms guesthouse beside the Skylon Hotel at Upper Drumcondra Road, in Dublin 9, which is to go to auction on May 19th. It is one of the best known guest houses in north Dublin with 23 en suite bedrooms, most of them doubles or family rooms, and car-parking for about 20 cars. While the building is in good structural condition, it would be no great surprise if it is bought for redevelopment because of its high profile location on the busy stretch between the city and Dublin Airport.

The same agents are also to auction another North Dublin guesthouse, St Andrews, at 1 Lambay Road, Drumcondra, on April 29th. It has 17 en suite bedrooms.
