It’s hard to keep up with fashions when it comes to “feature walls” – and chances are by the time you’ve decided to paint or paper one, they’re out of favour again.
But if you have an adventurous streak and a steady hand, take the plunge with these five new flock wallpapers designed for Graham Brown by Barbara Hulanicki, the founder of Biba. A trailing flower print, Ophelia, comes in seven colourways, such as Twilight and Bourbon, and the Baroque pattern has an Art Deco influence that recalls the Biba style. For a girly feel, try Shoes or Antoinette, but for macabre mischief, the black Skulls motif (right) will put you head and shoulders above the rest. Just in time for Hallowe’en, perhaps.
A 10-metre roll costs €75 online. There's a world of walls on the website, from wallpapers by graduates of Central St Martins (Hulanicki's alma mater) to paintable patterns, eco-friendly options and sticky-back plastic (including cheery rolls of blue sky).
