Popscene returns to our screens next Thursday at 7 p.m. on Network 2, with album reviews, music industry reports and live studio performances. Presenters Roisin Saxe and Pearse Lehane will be joined by Something Happens frontman Tom Dunne.
Dublin three-piece Pelvis release their cracking new single, I Am The Supergrass, on Setanta Records, and tomorrow they set off on a nation- wide tour, starting at the Temple Bar Music Centre tomorrow night, where they play support to The Divine Comedy.
The National Prayer Breakfast have a wacky name, their press releases (written by Claire O'Mahony) are rather entertaining, and their debut EP, featuring tracks like Feeding Frenzy, Toes and Country Death, sounds like Gang Of Four with a fit of the giggles. I like them already!
