Rihanna and Michael Jackson are being sued by Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango, who claims that both artists used a hook from his 1972 single Soul Makossa. Dibango had previously settled out of court with Jackson for using the phrase "mama-say mama-sa ma-ma-cu-sa" on his single Wanna Be Startin' Somethin. Rihanna also used the hook on Don't Stop the Music, but failed to get clearance.
