Last Sunday's auction conducted by Town & Country at 15 Elgin Road in Dublin saw £2,200 being paid for a William IV mahogany library table, as well as £2,000 for both a set of six Regency mahogany dining chairs and a pair of 19th century mahogany bookcases.

Other leading prices included £1,750 for a pair of satinwood pier cabinets and the same for a pair of Chippendale revival bow cabinets, £1,720 for a George III mahogany folding semi circular card table and £1,550 for an Edwardian mahogany bow front display cabinet.
