Grindhouse, the 192-minute double-bill homage to exploitation B-movies that opens in the US today and here on June 1st and features Rosario Dawson, will be split into two feature films for non-English-speaking countries. According to one film trade paper, "the concept of a double bill is alien to many filmgoers around the world".

The separately released versions are likely to feature additional footage in both films - Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, which features an extended car chase, and Planet Terror, the zombie horror film directed by Robert Rodriguez. The double-bill version due here features four fake trailers in between the two movies, and a commercial for a non-existent diner.
