What you've found . . .

Fiona Ní Chinnéide from Dublin got in touch about trying to replace a cracked screen on a Nokia 6210 mobile phone.

Vodafone's repairs service quoted €60. The Telephone Centre quoted €80, Carphone Warehouse €65, Paddy's Mobile Phone Clinic 50, Simi Sim Communications 25 and Teknofone €45. The top quote is 220 per cent more than the lowest.

As replacement parts are plentiful and labour is minimal, it seems difficult to justify the more expensive services.
