You would think by now that Pokémon would have had its day, but the series that started on the GameBoy some 15 years ago is still churning out titles. The Blackversion follows the same formula: a role-playing game that follows a Pokémon trainer battling through the world (Unova) against evil and discovering new Pokémon all the time. But the formula still works. This time around, you are up against the evil Team Plasma, who are a little smarter than your average Pokémon baddies. There have been a few changes to gameplay. Triple Battles and Rotation Battles allow you to send out three Pokémon at once, with three-on-three matches in triple battles and one-on-one in the rotations battles. Pokémon Blacklooks better than its predecessors, with some improvements to graphics. A good addition to a well-established franchise.
