After shooting for three weeks in the Donegal village of Culdaff, the romantic comedy Dead Long Enough has moved to Pontypridd in Wales for its final week in production.
Directed by Tom Collins, it features Michael Sheen and Jason Hughes as Welsh brothers returning for a stag night to a Donegal village where they encounter an old flame, played by Angeline Ball. The film follows Breakfast On Pluto as the second to be made under the Irish Film Board's Regional Film and TV Fund, described by IFB chief executive Mark Woods as "an initiative to enable IFB-financed productions to use the full range of locations across the country and to ensure that all parts of the State have the opportunity to share in the benefits of film and TV production". As part of the scheme, the Dead Long Enough team had the full support of Donegal County Council in organising such logistics as access to locations, closing off roads and helping to recruit extras in the locality.
