Zonad, the uproariously funny comedy from Kieran Carney and John Carney, co-creators of Bachelor's Walk, has received an unqualified rave from the prestigious trade paper Variety(though it spelled Kieran's name wrong).

According to that organ’s John Anderson, this “Gaelic nutroll”, in which boozy Simon Delaney convinces a village that he is an alien, “carries with it the sweet smell of a cult hit”.

You can judge for yourself later this year when Zonad, John Carney's first feature since Once, opens in Ireland. We laughed like the proverbial drain.
