The research for the report on racism in Ireland, referred to in last Friday's article headed "Time for the Government to tackle our society's serious racist problem", was carried out by FAQs Research in association with Dr Aogan Mulcahy and Dr Steven Loyal (not Dr Sean Love as stated).

A front-page news digest headline last Tuesday said "Udaras na Gaeltachta gave £220,000 to tax cheat". As the article on page 14 made clear, grants from Udaras were given to companies promoted by Mr Dick Hoglund, a Swedish national with convictions for tax fraud, not to Mr Hoglund himself.

Where errors occur, it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
