An article in the editions of June 23rd under the heading "Trinity plans course for students from disadvantaged areas" might have given a wrong impression about eligibility for the course. The preuniversity course to be run by Trinity College Dublin is for mature students (over 23 years) from disadvantaged areas, not for school-leavers who have gained insufficient points in the Leaving Certificate.

An article in yesterday's editions said that EU funding of £8 million would be available for the National Museum. The funding is for the National Gallery and it amounts to 7.5 million ECUs (approximately £6 million)

The Department of Defence has pointed out, with reference to an article entitled "Smith to appeal £30,000 damages for hearing loss to Supreme Court" in the editions of June 18th, that the term "hearing disability" should have been used instead of the term "hearing loss".
