Fabio is the drum’n’bass pioneer who’s been at the top of the game from the get-go. An omnipresent figure on the club scene since he cut his teeth on London pirate stations and after-hours acid-house raves, Fabio has not only lasted the course, but has influenced the flow of the sound through his early championing of the more melodic, warmer, less roughneck liquid funk strand of drum’n’bass.

Both with his longtime sparring partner, Grooverider, and under his own steam, he has become part of the junglist fabric thanks to his various high-profile radio shows (firstly on London’s Kiss FM and then on BBC Radio One), albums (such as the pair’s Drum Bass Arena release), a label (Creative Source), and club nights (including such seminal nights as Speed and Swerve).
