London - Britain will today send two aid flights to Turkey carrying badly-needed tents, blankets and medicines for earthquake survivors, said the Prime Minister, Mr Blair, who is on holiday in Italy.

Britain is also to contribute a further £180,000 to UNICEF for disaster relief work following contributions totalling £530,000 to the Red Crescent and the United Nations, he said. Two Britons are known to have died in the earthquake.
