Miss Aniela is the alter ego of Natalie Dybisz, a young, London-based, self-taught fine-art photographer who achieved renown via the Internet when she posted a series of exceptionally inventive, playful self-portraits.

Self-portraiture remains Dybisz's dominant genre, inviting comparisons with the work of influential, tragically short-lived Francesca Woodman and Cindy Sherman, who featured in her own Untitled Film Stills, exploring and critiquing depictions of women in film.

Where Woodman gravitated towards doubt, disappearance and absence, Miss Aniela is an almost exuberant, Alice in Wonderlandchameleon, transporting herself into a range of striking settings, costumes and predicaments, even making multiple clones of herself in single images. This is the first showing of her work in Ireland.
