Textgrabber on your iPhone 4 or 3GS
Smartphones are the Swiss Army knifes of the digital world and Textgrabber is probably the best app which adds another function to your iPhone: a scanner. Take a picture of some text, or a screengrab of a picture you are looking at on your phone, and Textgrabber turns it into text that you can edit, copy into another app, or send via email.
Textgrabber works well by focusing squarely on a small set of features rather than trying to do things that most users won’t need. It also gets bonus points for working without an internet connection and supporting more than 60 languages. It’s €1.59 from the App Store.

Message from Anonymous: Operation Facebook
Anonymous, the hacker activists who have carried out attacks on Mastercard, Paypal and the Pentagon, will turn its attention to Facebook on November 5th. In a video released on YouTube Anonymous accuses Facebook of abusing users privacy and selling data to governments.
“Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed,” the hackers warned. Subsequent Tweets from an Anonymous account have disassociated the group from the action.
