Lark Sleep Monitor, €105Want to know how you're sleeping? Try the Lark Sleep Monitor.
The system consists of a Bluetooth wristband and an app on your iOS device which together monitor your sleep patterns. It keeps an eye on your movement, showing you when you were at your deepest sleep, and translates that into the mobile app to show how well – or badly – you’re sleeping.
The band will also wake you up at an appointed time, vibrating with a silent alarm until you switch it off. It also offers sleep coaching, so you can try to fix whatever is going wrong and get a good night's rest. firebox.com
Polaroid Z340 Instant Digital Camera, $299
Traditional Polaroid cameras may now be retro but that doesn’t mean Polaroid itself has given up on the concept.
The company has turned to digital technology to bring back the instant camera with the new Polaroid Z340 Instant Digital Camera.
It has a 14-megapixel sensor and an integrated Zink printer.
Point, shoot, and it prints in less than a minute, just like the Polaroid photos of old. You can print up to 25 3in x 4in colour photos.
You can also edit the photos before you print on the built-in LCD screen. There is no ink, so no mess, and the prints are smudge-proof, water resistant and tear resistant. polaroid.com
HTC Sensation XE, from free on post-pay
The HTC Sensation XE looks to all intents and purposes like its predecessor. But there are a few important differences under the hood. It’s got a slightly faster chip, for a start, so it might run all those apps you keep installing that bit quicker.
It also has Beats audio technology built in. HTC took a stake in the Dr Dre-fronted company a while ago, and the Sensation is the first phone to feature its technology.
You get a pair of Beats ear buds included in the box, and the ability to build your own custom sound profiles.
The Android handset also looks a little better than its predecessor, with buttons that light up red instead of white, and a few Beats-inspired touches to make it stand out. htc.com
