Mobile phone operator Esat Digifone will employ a further 30 staff in Limerick over the next year, the Tanaiste said yesterday. Ms Harney also announced that Beacon Integrated Solutions, a leading Irish-owned SAP consultancy company, would create 50 jobs at Limerick's national technological park. Ms Harney, who officially opened the new Esat Digifone customer care centre at the Plassey Technological Park, said Digifone employed 650 people.
