Direct Marketing Associates has announced two appointments. Ms Caroline FitzGerald has been appointed to its board as account director and Ms Fiona Darcy has been appointed as senior graphic designer.

Ms Grainne O'Reilly has been appointed scheme manager of Laser Card Services. She is responsible for co-ordination of marketing, research, operations, and scheme development.

BUPA Ireland has appointed Mr Dermot Goode as sales manager. He will be responsible for managing and developing the expanding sales function of BUPA Ireland. Prior to joining BUPA Ireland, Mr Goode worked with Mercer and was also involved in establishing the health consultancy division of the Irish Pensions Trust.

Mr Cormac Bradley has joined Edelman as an account executive for Andersen Consulting, British Midland, Boots and the Irish Aviation Authority. Mr Bradley graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology with a Masters in Public Relations in 1999.

The Irish Aviation Authority has appointed Ms Lillian Cassin as its corporate communications officer. Ms Cassin, who spent 10 years working as an air traffic controller at Shannon Airport, will be responsible for internal communications among the authority's 650 staff.

Mr Liam Nagle has been appointed vice-president of Nortel Networks' worldwide operations for enterprise solutions. He will be responsible for operations in Europe, America, Canada and Asia.

Unilever Ireland has announced three appointments. Mr Shane Molloy has been appointed as chairman of the group, although he will retain his former responsibilities as senior vice-president marketing, home and personal care Europe. Mr Derek Staveley has been appointed financial director of Unilever Ireland and of its food subsidiary Van den Bergh Foods. Mr Donal O'Connor has been appointed human resources director for both Unilever and Van den Bergh Foods.

Ms Lisa Fitzsimons has been appointed senior account executive at Limelight Communications. Since joining the company in May 1998, she has worked on a number of accounts including the Iveagh Markets & Hotel and Meteor Mobile Communications.
