ISME tax caution raises eyebrows

ISME is or ISME not for tax cuts? The small business lobby group got a little exercised this week about the spin put on one of its many press releases. Radio reports suggested it was opposing tax cuts in the Budget, even drawing forth some reaction from the unions and a somewhat contrived "row".

Not the case, ISME pleaded. It was merely warning that the economy is moving along rapidly and telling Mr McCreevy to exercise "caution and discretion" in framing his package.
