Flying versus business: You can get instant gratification in flying compared to in business, where you never come to an end to anything, you are just continuously on into the next project.

The business strategy: We are carrying on with the strategy of spreading the business geographically throughout Europe, and not concentrating all our eggs in one basket.

Having a geographical spread: By having this flexible approach to it, to a certain extent we can protect ourselves from downturns in one particular market.

Attracting pilots: The kind of operation we are engaged in appeals to certain pilots for a number of years. We give them opportunities to fly and be based in different countries.

The necessity of travel: I do it. It is what I do, it has to be done. It is the business we are in. Our businesses are overseas, our people are overseas, our customers are overseas.

His ideal day off: I think boats is what it is about. Except in the last year, I have just been away a lot.
