Internet service provider, Telecom Internet, has launched an online tax checker for PAYE employees. TaxCheck will calculate individual tax free allowances, and deduce the exact sum which should appear on monthly, or weekly pay slips.

Visitors to the Telecom Internet site (www.tinet.ie) can assess whether the tax free allowance form (TFA1) they receive annually from the Revenue Commissioners is correctly calculated. TaxCheck, which was developed by tax and Internet experts, will also print out a corrected TFA1 form for submission to the tax office.
