Aviva to re-register company in Britain

Insurer Aviva has decided to re-register a Dublin-based European holding company in the UK

Insurer Aviva has decided to re-register a Dublin-based European holding company in the UK. Aviva Europe SE was set up in Dublin in October 2009 as a holding entity for its European entities.

This reflected Aviva’s intention at the time to move its businesses to a pan-European structure.

“The ongoing economic conditions and the current regulatory environment across Europe have meant that this structure is no longer the optimum strategy for our future business,” read a statement.

“In line with our customers’ increased focus on security and peace of mind, Aviva has chosen to look to strong locally capitalised entities within individual markets.”
