Top site: council puts key zoned land on the market

WICKLOW TOWN Council is to sell a key residential site within the urban area.

The site of 1.66 hectares (4.11 acres) is at Greenhills Road and is described by Eugene Dooley of selling agent Dooley Poynton as “probably the best zoned site to have come on the market on the east coast in recent years”.

Similarly zoned residential land had been making between €800,000 and €1 million an acre during the property boom. There have been no significant site sales in the area in the past three years. The zoning on the council land will allow a density of 25 to 40 homes per hectare.

The land is beside the grounds of Wicklow Golf Club and has the added appeal of uninterrupted views over the coastline and Wicklow Harbour.
