Sandyford Industrial Estate has witnessed considerable development in recent years and is now viewed by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council as the centre for high density development in the borough. Major developments in the estate include the Beacon Hospital, Beacon South Quarter and Q House.
Rockbrook, the high density mixed-use scheme by Fleming Developments, is being developed in proximity to the subject site.
The site has road frontages on two sides with around 46 metres of frontage on Carmanhall Road and 49 metres onto Ravens Rock Road.
