Exhibition: Irish people familiar with sculptor and interior designer David Marshall's work are likely to have homes or businesses in southern Spain or be frequent visitors to the area and have brought his striking designs back to their offices and homes.
Spanish-based Marshall's appeal here may now become more widespread. He is hosting the first Irish exhibition of his furniture and objets d'art - seen right- at the RHA Gallery on Saturday.
Originally from Scotland, Marshall works with artisans in Spain using metal casting techniques that date back to Roman times.
His ornate designs are made from brass and aluminium, incorporating glass, wood and iron.
Antique woods and tribal artifacts inspire his designs which are for anyone wanting to make a bold statement in a corporate environment.
