Development Land: Fifty-two acres with obvious potential to convert it into a stud farm at Carnalway, Kilcullen, Co Kildare, is expected to attract strong interest when it goes to auction on September 28th.

Newbridge agent Jordan is quoting a guide price of at least €50,000 per acre for the well located land which it describes as "stunningly picturesque". It is all that and more, being located next to the Newberry and Hollyhill stud farms and directly opposite the Harristown estate. The farm has the advantage of fronting on to the Kilcullen Road on one side and the Brannockstown Road at the opposite end.

Paddy Jordan of the selling agent said that, to appreciate the beautiful location, one had to walk the lands which were slightly elevated and looked towards the Wicklow Mountains. Carnalway, he said, was a beautiful area with many fine stands of mature trees, stone walled estates and tranquil stud farms.

Although deep in the Kildare countryside, the farm is conveniently located just two miles from Kilcullen, five miles from Naas and 25 miles from Dublin.
