Upgrade at Nutgrove centre

Nutgrove Shopping Centre in Rathfarnham – currently marking 25 years in business – is planning to amalgamate a number of shops to create larger units. AIB Investment Managers, which has a majority stake in the centre, is also to upgrade the external façade.

Rita Carney of letting agent Jones Lang LaSalle says it has been receiving an increased level of enquiries from traders since it began the modernisation programme.

Traders include Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Penneys, Boots, Argos and Lifestyle Sports.

Cute D2 office for 50,000

Chartered surveyor Brown Corrigan is quoting a rent of €50,000 for an attractive, self-contained office building at 5 Little Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin 2. It is at the rear of Lower Fitzwilliam Place convenient to Lower Baggot Street and Merrion Square. The house has 245sq m (2,637sq ft) of refurbished office space over three floors. The basement is ideal as a storage area. The specification includes good quality heating and lighting, security alarm and fire detection. Brown Corrigan say it suits a number of uses, including IT, training, call centre or professional practice.

US firm rents docklands suite

US-based Asset Control has leased 460sq m (5,000sq ft) at the One Gateway office development on East Wall Road in the Dublin docklands. The firm, which provides centralised data management solutions for financial institutions worldwide, will be paying a rent of €204 per sq m (€19 per sq ft) for the fitted suite on a 10-year lease.

Paddy Jordan of developer Collen Group said it had a number of other newly fitted suites available ranging in size from 100sq m (1,076sq ft) to 600sq m (6,458sq ft).

€750,000 rent for warehouse

Savills is quoting a rent of €750,000 for a modern warehouse fronting on to the M1 at Balbriggan, Co Dublin. The 10,274sq m (110,588sq ft) building, including 578sq m (6,222sq ft) of offices, is in the M1 Business and Logistics Park. It has an eaves height of 9.1 metres.
